Abbott Beefs Up Security Screenings

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott is in Perth today, and has announced the Coalition's latest border protection policy.

Mr Abbott says he'll commit an extra 53 million dollars to securing the nation's borders.

He says the money will go towards beefing-up Australia's border-security screening program.
