Gillard Announces Cadetship Program

Prime Minister Julia Gillard says her national trades cadetship and work experience program, is about giving every student the chance to acquire real skills for real jobs.

On the campaign trail in western Sydney, she says the nation needs skilled trades-people.

Ms Gillard says there should be equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their future aspirations.
